Project Scheduling, Project Risk Management and Cost Analysis
Bluewater was invited to provide comprehensive project management
support to a number of in-house program and project managers of the Weyerhaeuser
Company IT Division who were required to follow the demanding Process to
Achieve Capital Excellence (PACE). Projects include an Employee Service Center,
the (Enterprise) Human Resources Application, enhancement of planning and
accounting services for the Financial Services group, e-business integration
to existing business systems and a one-company
approach to Web Services for the Homebuilding sector.
PACE demands a very rigorous and systematic framework to project development,
requiring thorough business case development and detailed requirements
analysis that are allied to in-depth planning of cost, time and risk.
Thus, Bluewater was able to provide not only
scheduling support in Microsoft Project® and later in Primavera's
enterprise system of TeamPlay®, but also in an array of services
including risk management, status reporting and business case development.
Bluewater helped to ensure that the projects undertaken
by the Weyerhaeuser Company were well justified, planned and would have the
best chance to come in on-time and on-budget.
