Staff members at Bluewater have been providing cost estimating
services to the engineering and construction industries for many years. This has
included cost estimates used in budgeting and capital expenditure planning, and
also used as an independent check against a project. An outline of this service
is detailed below:

In the early stages of a project, we can develop design budgets from
schematic or design development drawings, and prepare incremental
budgets as design progresses.

Additionally, we provide vendor information sheets on equipment,
suppliers and subcontractors. At bid document stage, we provide
a definitive and quantified material takeoff, detailing labor,
materials, subcontracts, construction equipment and overhead.
As part of the cost estimating service, an outline construction
schedule may be prepared from the estimating information,
providing both a project planning document and a double-check
on the estimate.

During the bidding and post-bid review, we can provide insight
into bidder's methodology, minimizing bad bid acceptance.

During each phase of the project, we correlate project costs to an outline construction
schedule.
